prompting closures in both directions

of Interstate 70 in Washington County.

HAGERSTOWN, Md. –

A wind turbine blade detached from a tractor-trailer early Monday,

blocking traffic in both directions of Interstate

70 in Washington County, Maryland State Police said.

traffic cameras showed the massive blade stretched across the highway.

Officials say one person was transported by

ambulance to Meritus Medical

Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
