Final video of Ozzy Osbourne shows him smiling and joking

Just days before his passing, Ozzy Osbourne was seen laughing and cracking jokes in a touching video shared by his family, capturing one of the rock legend’s final public appearances.

The Black Sabbath frontman, Ozzy Osbourne, died at the age of 76 at his UK estate, surrounded by family and “bathed in love,” according to a statement released by his loved ones on July 22.

His death came just 17 days after performing on stage for what would be the final time, a reunion show with the original Black Sabbath lineup, their first in two decades.

Osbourne had faced a string of serious health challenges in recent years, including a 2019 diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease.

Though his cause of death has not yet been confirmed, his health had been the subject of public concern for some time.

Despite that, a video filmed on July 9 shows the metal icon in high spirits at a private family gathering

The clip, posted on TikTok by his daughter Kelly Osbourne, captures the moment her partner, Slipknot’s Sid Wilson, proposed to her in front of loved ones.

Sharon Osbourne can be seen sitting beside her husband of 43 years as she hushes the crowd. Then Wilson begins: “Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world…”

Before he could continue, Ozzy chimes in with a grin: “F**k off, you’re not marrying my daughter.”

The crowd burst into laughter, as did Kelly.

Wilson pressed on with his heartfelt proposal: “Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you. So, in front of your family and all of our friends… Kelly, will you marry me?”

As he placed the ring on her finger, Ozzy beamed in the background, radiating pride and joy in a moment that now feels all the more poignant.

In their statement announcing his death, the Osbourne family wrote: “It is with more sadness than words can express that we announce the passing of our beloved Ozzy Osbourne this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask for privacy as we grieve.”

Ozzy Osbourne rose to global fame as the frontman of Black Sabbath, a band credited with pioneering heavy metal in the late 1960s and ’70s. Known for his haunting vocals and dark theatricality (once famously biting the head off a bat) he cultivated a persona as the “Prince of Darkness.”

Yet it was his second act, starring in the MTV reality series The Osbournes alongside Sharon, Kelly, and Jack, that revealed a softer, often hilarious side of the rock legend and endeared him to a new generation of fans.

He leaves behind a legacy not only of music and chaos, but of deep family love and unforgettable moments like this one.
