Boy Calls 911 for Help with Homework — Officers Discover a Serious Situation

Eight-year-old Ryan Crosby sat staring at his math homework, completely frustrated.

Desperate for help, he remembered his mom’s advice: “Call 911 if you ever need help.”

Taking her words literally,

Ryan dialed 911 and asked the operator to help him solve his math problems.

At first, the dispatcher thought it was a prank.

But when Ryan mentioned that he was alone at home late at night, she grew concerned.

When asked about his mom,

Ryan explained she hadn’t been home since he returned from school.

Alarmed, the dispatcher quickly traced the call and sent officers to check on him.

The police found Ryan safe but alone.

His mother, Matilda, was nowhere to be found, and her phone was switched off.

Using tracking data and a K9 unit, they searched nearby areas and eventually found her unconscious in a stalled car on a deserted road.

She had fainted due to heat exhaustion,

and her phone battery had died.

Thanks to quick action, she was rushed to the hospital and made a full recovery.

When Matilda was brought home, she hugged Ryan tightly,

realizing that his innocent call had saved her life.

What began as a simple plea for homework help became a powerful reminder of why children should never be afraid to call for help during an emergency.

Ryan’s bravery not only reunited their family but also set an example for others in the community.
