Charlie Kirk, a well-known conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA,
was tragically shot during an event at Utah Valley University (UVU) on September 10, 2025.
At just 31 years old, Kirk had established himself as a significant voice within the conservative movement,
particularly during the presidency of Donald Trump.
His untimely death during the “American Comeback Tour,”
which aimed to engage young conservatives,
shocked the nation and raised serious concerns about political violence.
The shooting occurred in the university courtyard,
located roughly 64 kilometers south of Salt Lake City,
while Kirk was addressing students about pressing issues like mass shootings.
Just as he was making a point, a gunshot rang out and struck him in the neck.
Eyewitnesses reported a moment of confusion and fear as chaos erupted among attendees,
with many scrambling for safety.
Blood was seen at the scene moments after he was shot,
and fortunately, no other individuals were injured during the event.
