Last week, my electrician came by to fix a light switch in my apartment.

He paused and said, “You really shouldn’t leave chargers plugged in like that when they’re not in use.”

I was surprised. I’ve been doing it for years without giving it a second thought.

While it’s usually safe, he said it’s better to unplug them when you’re done just to be cautious and to save energy.

It made so much sense once he explained it. Now,

I make it a habit to unplug my chargers after using them.

It’s a small change, but it helps reduce waste, saves a little money,

and keeps my space a bit safer.Sometimes the smallest tips make the biggest difference — and I wish I’d known this sooner!

Now I even remind my friends and family to do the same.
