My Sassy MIL Stole Our Bed for Years—This Time, I Outsmarted Her and My In-Laws Fell Right In

Every time my parents-in-law visited, my sassy mother-in-law Monica took over our master bedroom—shoving aside my things,

lighting her signature candles, and making herself at home without asking.

Despite years of hints and polite requests to use the guest room,

she always dismissed me and insisted our room was better for her.

This time, I decided enough was enough. I firmly told Monica before she arrived that the guest room was set up and clean,

and we were keeping our bedroom private.

Of course, she ignored this and marched straight into our room as usual.

But I had secretly prepared a surprise for her.

I had filled our bedroom and bathroom with personal, risqué items—lingerie, adult toys,

massage oils, and even a TV queue full of suggestive movies.

When Monica saw all this, she was visibly shocked and embarrassed.

By the next morning, she came to me, defeated, and asked to move to the guest room.

The rest of their visit was peaceful,

with Monica and her husband staying in the guest room without complaint.

When they left, Monica admitted it was actually quite comfortable and even hinted that she’d respect our boundaries going forward.

Jake was both horrified and impressed by my plan,

but I was just relieved to finally have our space back.

It was a bit of petty revenge, sure—but mostly,

it was a well-deserved lesson about respecting boundaries.
