Entitled Guest Demands Extra Pool Time — But Karma Has Other Plans

One night, I was working late at a hotel pool, waiting for maintenance to finish.

The pool was supposed to close at 10 p.m.,

and I’d already warned guests several times.

Most left quietly except Linda.

Linda, clearly tipsy and with two kids

, demanded the pool stay open an extra hour.

She insisted, “We paid good money!”

but I stuck to the rules: pool closes at 10 p.m.

for safety and chemical treatments.

Ignoring posted signs and warnings, she stormed off to the front desk,

where a new clerk trying to be helpful gave her the gate key without checking with management.

Linda returned with a crowd of kids and moms,

all jumping back into the pool after hours.

Minutes later, chaos ensued. The pool had just been treated with a strong chlorine shock.

Kids screamed from the burning skin and foul smell. Linda panicked and blamed staff, yelling and threatening police.

When officers arrived, security footage and logs revealed Linda had tampered with locks and re-entered without permission.

She was charged with trespassing and banned from the hotel.

Thankfully, the kids were unharmed after rinsing off

. The new clerk learned a hard lesson: never hand over keys without approval.

And Linda? Karma caught up with her fast.
