Suspect in Frisco Track Meet Stabbing That KiIIed

On April 3, tragedy struck during a high school track meet in

Frisco when Memorial High School

student Austin Metcalf was fatally stabbed.

The incident occurred after a confrontation

with 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony,

who was taking shelter from the rain in a team tent.

When Austin asked him to leave, tensions escalated into violence.

Karmelo has claimed he acted

in self-defense when the situation spiraled out of control.

He is currently being held on a

$1 million bond and has been charged with murder.

Austin’s death has deeply impacted the community.

His family launched a GoFundMe

campaign to help with expenses and honor his memory.
