As of today, there are no reports of an NFL player
being found deceased in their home.
The most recent notable passing in
the NFL community was that of former running back Calvin Jones,
who died at the age of 54 due to suspected carbon monoxide poisoning.
Jones was found unconscious in the basement of his Omaha,
Nebraska, home, where a running generator was present,
possibly used due to a malfunctioning furnace.
Authorities discovered signs of carbon monoxide
poisoning at the scene, though the
official cause of death has not
yet been confirmed.
