Heartbreaking news for George Stephanopoulos just days after daughter’s graduation

George Stephanopoulos and wife Ali Wentworth experienced both highs and heartbreaking lows during the week.

The family suffered a terrible loss at home: their cherished dog, Cooper, just days after the proud parents celebrated the graduation of their oldest daughter, Elliott, from Brown University.

“In addition to being a pet, he was family.”

Ali, 59, moved both fans and celebrities to tears with a heartfelt homage on Instagram. “I lost my lifelong friend. Alongside a heartwarming video montage of Cooper over the years, she wrote, “

The greatest dog and integral part of our family.”

Cooper was more than just a pet; he would steal Christmas candy and chase elk in a pond. He belonged to the family. He once pursued a gigantic elk in the water. She wrote, “

I kissed and cuddled everyone who came through our door and felt nothing after eating an entire bottle of melatonin.” He cherished all animals. particularly people.

The slideshow reminded viewers of how ingrained the puppy was in their lives by showcasing adorable moments between Cooper and the whole Stephanopoulos-Wentworth clan.

Ali wrote, “I will miss him terribly.” “Coop, see you on the other side! There are still plenty of squirrels for us to pursue.

Love Is Sent by Celebrity Friends

Later, she shared a second video featuring “more of sweet Cooper,” which sparked an outpouring of love in the comments section.

Fans and friends, including celebrities who had also met the four-legged family member, came together to support her.

Jennifer Garner described the heartbreak as “a special kind.” “Aww,” Sean Hayes added. I cherished him. I’m so sorry, honey.

Additionally, Andy Cohen of Bravo revealed, “Ali! I apologize so much! Wacha makes me feel a connection to Cooper. I’m really depressed about this.

From Cheers at Graduation to Farewell Tears

Elliott’s graduation from Brown University, a significant family milestone, was immediately followed by the loss. Ali wrote, “She did it!” in a heartfelt and humorous celebration. To an amazing person who possesses my legs and her father’s brain, happy graduation! and she would be in serious trouble if it were the other way around.

Throughout what has turned into an emotional week, Ali and George—who also have a 19-year-old daughter named Harper—continue to rely on one another.

Even though Cooper is no longer with us, his influence on everyone who knew him is evident.
