Three high school teachers lost their lives

Three women died this morning while traveling on the

Tepic-Mazatlán freeway at the San Blas intersection, near the town of El Jicote,

in Tepic, Nayarit. Another person was injured in the accident.

According to authorities, the driver of a red Nissan

Versa carrying four people crossed into the opposite

lane and ended up colliding with a three-ton refrigerated truck.

In the collision, the three women traveling in the Nissan

Versa died instantly due to the strong impact.

They were identified as teachers from the

Rosamorada technical secondary school

, Elva Karina “N”, Irma Leticia “N”,

and Yolanda Leticia “N”,

originally from Santiago Ixcuintla and Rosamorada.

As for the driver of the Versa,

he was identified as Gilberto “N,”

presumably the school’s director.

Gilberto was injured and

taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
