A little girl walked out for candy. She never came back.
Her family’s pleas turned into a national alert, her face shared in desperate posts and late-night prayers. Then, a stench seeped from an abandoned building by the metro, forcing strangers to dial 911. What police found in that vacant lot near Constitución de 1917 shoc… Continues…

Perla Alison’s disappearance began like so many others: a brief errand, a familiar street, a promise to be right back. Her family trusted the short distance to the nearby store in Santa Martha Acatitla. Hours later, fear replaced patience; days later, the Amber Alert plastered her name and face across Mexico. While volunteers searched corners, markets, and stations, a neighbor near the Constitución de 1917 metro station noticed something else: a foul odor leaking from an abandoned property.

That call to 911 led officers to a vacant lot where forensic experts quietly confirmed the family’s worst nightmare. The discovery did not bring peace, only a brutal ending to hope. Now, grief turns to rage as relatives and citizens demand answers: who took Perla, who failed to protect her, and how many more children must vanish before someone is held to account.
