He was only 4 years old and his community was devastated by his unfortunate loss

The community of Tangará, Santa Catarina, Brazil, and the entire region are shocked by the death of little Kalleo Pauletti, just 4 years old.

He passed away last Friday, June 13th, after an intense battle with a rare brain cancer.

A resident of the Iraqi community in the interior of Tangará, in the center-west of Santa Catarina, Kalleo faced the diagnosis with courage and faith, always supported by the love of his family and the solidarity of the community.

From the first symptoms, such as vomiting and weakness in his legs, the boy underwent long and difficult treatment.

He underwent more than five head surgeries and countless chemotherapy sessions.

However, the treatment weakened his immune system. In recent days, Kalleo was hospitalized with a widespread infection. Without defenses, his kidneys shut down, leading to his death.

Kalleo’s story mobilized the entire state of Santa Catarina. The RBV Portal closely followed the case and promoted actions to support the family, made up of rural workers.

Several fundraising campaigns were held to help cover the costs of treatment, transportation, and medication

. The community also contributed prayers, messages, and kind gestures that made a difference in the boy’s life.

Moved, Father Felipe Pauletti thanked all those who helped during the period of struggle:

“We faced cancer with great faith and determination. Medicine did everything possible. But God’s will always prevails. He was quick; he felt no pain.

He simply stopped and let God guide him.”

The family opted for burial in Correia Pinto, where Kalleo’s mother had sent the documents.

All expenses, including transportation, the funeral, and services, were covered by the municipalities involved, through an agreement with the SUS (National Unity Service).

“We got everything Kalleo needed. We lacked nothing. This was only possible thanks to every donation,

hug, prayer, and gesture of support. He’s now in God’s arms, and we move forward with gratitude and faith,” Felipe added.

Kalleo’s case caused great shock and mobilized people from different cities, highlighting the power of solidarity in the face of extreme situations.

The family, now in mourning, acknowledges the support received during treatment and highlights the importance of the support network that allowed the boy to maintain a good quality of life during the months he battled the disease.
