Alan Jackson stood before a sold-out crowd in Milwaukee and shared the news fans had long feared—but hoped would never come.

“This is the last road show of my career,” the 66-year-old said through tears, closing out his Last Call:

One More for the Road Tour with an emotional farewell that drew a standing ovation and left fans in tears.

Just nine days after performing “Remember When” at the 2025 ACM Awards—

a performance that earned him thunderous applause and online praise—

Jackson officially confirmed what many had suspected.

The Milwaukee stop would be the final tour date of his career.

But there’s a silver lining for fans not ready to say goodbye.

“We’re planning on doing a big finale show in Nashville next summer sometime,” he told the crowd.

“It just felt like I had to end it all where it all started. And that’s in Nashville, Tennessee. Music City.”

Jackson has long been open about his ongoing health battle.

In 2021, he revealed his diagnosis with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease,

a hereditary condition that leads to progressive muscle weakness and atrophy, particularly in the arms and legs.

“It’s been affecting me for years, and it’s getting more and more obvious,”

he previously shared in an interview.

“Now I’m having a little trouble balancing, even in front of the microphone. I just want people to know that’s why I look like I do.”
