They say cats can always sense the pain and illnesses of their owners. This story proves it.

In the intensive care unit lay an elderly man. He had already spent a month in the ward, and during all that time not a single relative came to visit him. His only friend and comfort was his cat.

At first, the nurses were surprised, but then they got used to it: every day she sat beside him, as if she knew exactly where it hurt. Very often, the cat would curl up on his stomach, since the man had serious gastrointestinal problems.

The animal quickly became the favorite of the entire staff. The doctors fed her, and the patients smiled when they saw this touching friendship.

Finally, the day of surgery arrived. The patient understood: everything would be decided today — either he would survive, or he would never wake up again. Before being taken away, he asked for a few minutes to say goodbye to his cat. He held her close, and as always, she lay down on his stomach.

But suddenly, her behavior changed drastically. The cat arched her back, hissed, and started scratching her owner, staring fiercely at his hands.

The cat saved her owner. Thanks to her strange and alarming behavior, the doctors changed their plan in time:

they first removed the dangerous clot, and only then proceeded with the main surgery.
