Crispy Roasted Cauliflower: A Tasty and Healthy French Fry Alternative

Crispy Roasted Cauliflower is the perfect healthy swap for French fries.

With a golden, crunchy exterior and a tender inside, it’s a dish even picky eaters will love.

Packed with fiber and nutrients, it’s naturally lower in calories and can be customized with flavors like buffalo sauce, parmesan, or smoky BBQ.

Whether you’re looking for a guilt-free snack, a tasty side dish, or a game-day appetizer,

this recipe delivers bold flavor with just a few pantry staples.

To start, cut one large head of cauliflower into bite-sized florets and pat them completely dry — this step is key for crispiness.

In a large bowl, toss the florets with three tablespoons of olive or avocado oil, along with garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Massage the seasoning into the cauliflower so every piece is evenly coated for maximum flavor.

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and spread the florets out on a parchment-lined baking sheet,

leaving space between each piece.

Roast for 20 minutes, flip them, then roast for another 10–15 minutes until they’re deep golden and crispy.

For an extra crunch, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.

You can also sprinkle parmesan cheese during the last five minutes of roasting or toss the hot cauliflower in buffalo or BBQ sauce for a flavorful twist.

Serve immediately with dipping sauces like ranch,

spicy sriracha aioli, or tahini.

Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to four days and reheated in an oven or air fryer to restore the crunch.

Simple, versatile, and full of flavor, this Crispy Roasted Cauliflower makes a satisfying alternative to fries — perfect for family dinners, parties, or a healthy solo snack.
