During the wedding, my husband took a huge piece of cake, smeared it on my face, and laughed out loud: I decided to get revenge

During the wedding, my husband took a huge piece of cake, smeared it on my face, and laughed out loud: I decided to get revenge 😢😢

We had been together since childhood. Since school days inseparable, shared friends, first love – everything like in the movies. By the age of twenty-five, we already knew it was time to start a family. The wedding seemed like the logical continuation of our story.

I had prepared carefully for this day: chose the best dress, hired a makeup artist, paid for expensive treatments – all to look perfect. When our friends and family gathered, it seemed everything was going as I had dreamed.

Until we got to the wedding cake.

In our city, there’s a tradition: the groom and bride cut the cake and feed each other a piece. I took the knife, he helped me – and then my husband leaned toward my ear and whispered:

— What if I dunked your face in the cake? It would be funny.

— Don’t even think about it. It will ruin everything.

— Okay, — he smiled, and I thought the conversation was over.

But a minute later, he grabbed a huge piece of cake and smeared it on my face. Then he started laughing loudly. The guests too – they laughed, applauded, filmed with their phones.

— So, do you like the joke? I told you it would be funny! — he cheerfully said to his friends.

Funny for everyone except me. I stood there in my expensive dress, with ruined hair and makeup, and cried. Everything I had put my heart and effort into was destroyed in an instant.

He continued to have fun until I did something he clearly did not expect 😲😢 I’ll tell you what I did, and you can tell me if I acted right. Continuation in the first comment 👇👇

I took a huge piece of cake and smeared it on his suit, which cost almost five thousand dollars. The groom immediately stopped laughing, but his friends laughed even louder.

— Do you know how much this costs?! This suit is worth more than your life! — he shouted.

— I know, — I replied calmly. — Now it’s not funny anymore, right? I was just joking. Unpleasant, isn’t it?

I took off my ring, placed it in his hand, and walked out of the hall with my head held high. At that moment I decided: no “joke” will start our marriage. We’re getting divorced. Period.
