Bill Cobbs, the well-respected actor known for

The Bodyguard, Night at the Museum,

and New Jack City, has passed away.

His brother, Pastor Thomas G. Cobbs,

confirmed on Facebook

that Bill died peacefully at his California home on June 25.

Although the cause of death was not specified,

Bill had retired from acting and was spending his later years away from the public eye.

He had just celebrated his 90th

birthday with close friends and family,

reflecting the deep personal bonds he maintained throughout life.

Cobbs will be remembered for his rich contributions to film and his dignified,
