I often walk in the forest, and recently, as I was calmly strolling among the trees, my gaze caught a strange pile lying on the ground ahead of me.  At first glance, it looked like mushrooms or tennis balls, but no.  Suddenly, the yellow, strange objects started moving and making sounds.  When I realized what they were, I was horrified and immediately called the police. 

I still don’t understand what kind of vile person could do such a thing. I’ll explain what it was in the first comment. 

For several years, I’ve been regularly walking the trails near my house – at least twice a week. During that time, I’ve seen plenty of strange and unusual things.

But nothing could have prepared me for what I saw one morning when I set out for my usual walk. I was calmly strolling among the trees when my gaze caught a strange pile lying on the ground ahead of me.

At first glance, it looked like someone had dumped hundreds of tennis balls in the forest – bright yellow spots stood out sharply against the backdrop of brown leaves and green undergrowth.

I approached, thinking it might be trash left by tourists or kids. But what I saw made my heart skip a beat. They weren’t balls. They were living creatures.

Before me lay dozens of tiny chicks. So small – wet, trembling, just hatched.

Some were still stuck together, others were already trying to stand on their little legs. They peeped pitifully, huddled tightly together.

It was clear: these chicks had been dumped here, deliberately left to die.

I immediately called the police. While waiting, I contacted the local animal shelter and explained the situation. Half an hour later, the staff were on the scene.

They were, like me, shocked. Someone had intentionally discarded dozens of living creatures – choosing a secluded spot, hoping no one would find them.

In the end, most of the chicks were saved. What happened to the person who committed this horrific act, I don’t know.
