Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris, broke her silence

The heiress of the late “King of Pop” opened up about her battles with addiction and depression.

In a shocking and candid interview with Rolling Stone magazine ,

Paris Jackson—the only daughter of the late “King of Pop” Michael Jackson—revealed that she attempted suicide on several occasions due to severe depression and also revealed that she was raped by a stranger at age 14.

Although Paris—now 18—made headlines for a suicide attempt in 2013, the superstar’s daughter revealed it wasn’t just a one-time occurrence.

“I tried to commit suicide several times ,”

the young woman told the aforementioned publication.

In June of that year, drowning in depression and drug addiction,

she attempted to kill herself by slitting her wrists.

Suicidal thoughts began after her father’s death in 2009.

“They always say time heals, but it really doesn’t. You just end up getting used to it,” she explained to the publication.

“I lost the one thing that mattered most to me. (…) So, from now on, nothing bad can happen. (…) I feel it with me all the time .”
