Russia Warns US Of ‘Catastrophic’ Consequences If Trump Approves Strike On Iran

Following reports that Donald Trump ‘approves’ an attack plan on Iran, Russia has sent a troubling message to the United States.

The US president is being questioned about whether and how America could intervene in the Middle East, where emotions are still high after Iran and Israel launched missile attacks against each other last week.

Donald Trump allegedly abandoned the G7 leaders’ conference early to address the issue on Monday, June 16, after first responding, “I may do it, I may not do it,” when asked if the US will join the fight.

Then, on Tuesday, June 17, the US Air Force’s massive ‘Doomsday jet,’ which is capable of handling nuclear disaster, was spotted flying in a rare sight, raising fears that war might be on the horizon.

According to ABC News, Trump reportedly told his senior national security advisers in the Situation Room that same day that he would approve of any plans for a strike on Iran if they were brought to him, perhaps bringing him one step closer to that eventuality. Though he supports strikes, he is first waiting to see if the nation will negotiate terminating its nuclear program, according to sources who spoke to the Wall Street Journal.

As the strategy came to light, Trump explained, “I like to make the final decision one second before it’s due.”

“As President Trump said himself today, all options remain on the table,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt added to reporters.

By threatening that US interference may “radically destabilise the entire situation,” Russia, Iran’s partner, has also capitalised on the escalating tensions.

Speaking to Reuters, Russian spokesperson Maria Zakharova said: “Nuclear facilities are being struck… Where is the [concern from the] entire world community?”

Then she issued the terrifying warning that a “nuclear catastrophe” may occur at any time.

Earlier this week, Sergei Ryabkov, Russia’s deputy foreign minister, told Interfax that Moscow had recommended America to stay out of the battle, claiming it had already killed hundreds of Iranians and maimed dozens of Israelis.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran, also stated that US involvement would be “costly,” adding menacingly, “The Iranian nation will not surrender.”

Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, has denied statements that they will also become involved, saying, “We are not imposing anything on anyone; we are simply talking about how we see a possible way out of the situation.”

“But the decision, of course, is up to the political leadership of all these countries, primarily Iran and Israel.”

Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform that Iran’should have signed the ‘agreement’ I instructed them to sign’ and advised citizens of Tehran to leave before departing the G7 in Canada.

“What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again!” he added.

Trump told reporters he’s ‘had it’ with the issue and that his patience with Iran has ‘already run out’ on Wednesday, June 18.

“I give up,” he continued. “No more. Then we go blow up all the, you know, all the nuclear stuff that’s all over the place there.”
