The boy had to get 38 stitches because the refrigerator suddenly ᴇxᴘʟᴏᴅᴇᴅ: W.a.r.n.i.n.g: Do not put these things in the freezer

Danger can strike in the most unexpected ways—even in your own kitchen.

One heartbreaking case in Shanghai involved a 5-year-old boy

who put a can of soda in the freezer to cool it quickly.

When he opened it, the can exploded,

spraying sharp metal and liquid across his face.

He needed 38 stitches.

Doctors say similar accidents are

happening more often due to people freezing carbonated drinks without realizing the risk.

This everyday habit could turn dangerous in a split second…

and that’s not the only freezer mistake people are making.

Two more items can be just as risky.

First, alcoholic drinks.

If sealed and left in the freezer,

pressure can build until the container bursts—

sometimes even sparking fires due to the alcohol’s flammability. Second, dry ice.
