Twin brother breaks silence

Frisco, Texas is reeling from the heartbreaking loss of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf, a beloved student-athlete from Memorial

High School who was fatally stabbed during a track meet on April 2.

The tragedy unfolded at David Kuykendall Stadium when Austin and his twin brother,

Hunter, were resting under their team’s tent. According to reports, another student,

Karmelo Anthony from Centennial High School, entered the tent uninvited, and a brief exchange escalated into violence.

Anthony allegedly pulled a knife from his backpack and stabbed Austin in the chest.

Despite Hunter’s desperate attempt

to save his brother, Austin died in his arms before help could arrive.

The senseless act has left the community in shock and grief,

Austin was remembered as a bright, compassionate leader with a promising future.

His twin brother, Hunter, described him as a guiding force, saying,

“He was a big brother, even though we’re the same age.” The accused, Karmelo Anthony,

has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held on a $1 million bond.

As the investigation continues, the community is coming together to honor

Austin’s memory and support his grieving family.
