White House Publishes Rare Situation‑Room Photos Capturing Pre‑Strike Tension Before Iran Mission

Just before the United States claimed to have “totally and completely obliterated” three nuclear facilities in Iran, a picture of Donald Trump was made public.

Trump declared last night that the US had carried out a “spectacular military success” by bombing the Iranian cities of Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.

“Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated. Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace – if they do not, future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier,” he added.

US steal bombers were observed leaving the United States and travelling to a military camp 3,000 miles away from the Middle Eastern nation as tensions between the two countries increased as a result of attacks between Israel and Iran.

After Israel conducted a massive attack on Iran’s nuclear sites on June 13 that led to attacks being exchanged between the two countries, Trump was ready to voice his opinions on the issue.

The likelihood that Iran has been working on nuclear weapons has also caused some alarm among world leaders. But when Trump publicly threatened Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, he changed the course of events.

Posting on Truth Social last week, he wrote: “We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now.”

“But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

America’s role in the Iran-Israel conflict intensified as it conducted a surprise bombing raid on Iran last night, however Iran responded by dismissing his remarks and issued its own threats.

Images from The Situation Room, where significant strategic planning is done, have now been made public by the White House just before the airstrikes.

Vice President JD Vance is seated next to Trump, who is wearing his “Make America Great Again” red cap in the pictures.

The pictures were captioned: “President Donald J. Trump in The Situation Room, June 21, 2025.”

What else has Trump said about the US air strikes on Iran?

“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan,” Trump wrote on Truth Social after announcing with pride that the US had effectively finished the bombing in Iran.

“All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordo.”

“All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

How has Iran responded to the US air strikes?

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, called the US attack “outrageous, extremely dangerous, lawless and criminal behaviour.”

“The United States, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, has committed a grave violation of the UN Charter, international law and the NPT by attacking Iran’s peaceful nuclear installations,” he said on Twitter.

“The events this morning are outrageous and will have everlasting consequences.”

“Each and every member of the UN must be alarmed over this extremely dangerous, lawless and criminal behavior. In accordance with the UN Charter and its provisions allowing a legitimate response in self-defense, Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interest, and people.”
