I have a client who’s known for her wealth and elegance. A couple of days after her visit,

she called me in tears, saying she had lost her diamond earrings. “They’re a family heirloom,

” she cried. “Please, can you check if they fell somewhere in your salon?”

I searched everywhere — under chairs, behind mirrors,

and finally pushed back the small table near my styling station.

There they were — a pair of glittering earrings
