She was 61. According to TMZ, she was discovered dead at her Los Angeles home on Wednesday, March 5, in what appears to be a suicide.

Family members, who had not heard from her, went to check on her and found her with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, the outlet reported.

In a statement to PEOPLE, a representative for David Hasselhoff said

“Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff.

We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”

She was born on October 16, 1963, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Pamela pursued a career in acting, landing roles in popular TV series and films during the 1980s and 1990s.

Her most notable work came from guest appearances on shows like Baywatch and Knight Rider, as well as roles in soap operas and made-for-TV movies.

In 1991, she starred in The Young and the Restless and later appeared in Sirens, a short-lived crime drama series.

Though her acting career never reached the same heights as her former husband’s, she remained a recognizable figure in Hollywood, often attending red carpet events and making television appearances.

Pamela married David Hasselhoff in 1989, and the couple became a high-profile Hollywood pair.

They had two daughters, Taylor and Hayley Hasselhoff, both of whom followed careers in entertainment. Taylor became an actress and model, while Hayley found success as a plus-size model and reality TV star. The couple divorced in 2006 after nearly 17 years of marriage.

Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff is survived by her two daughters, Taylor, 34, and Hayley, 32, whom she shared with her ex-husband, David Hasselhoff. Her Instagram was filled with heartfelt posts about her daughters and her grandchild. Taylor welcomed a daughter,

London, in August, with her husband, Madison Fiore, whom she married in February 2023.
