I snapped photos with shaking hands and searched frantically online, comparing every angle. Whale? No. Dolphin? Not quite. Some deep-sea creature washed ashore? Nothing matched. The more I zoomed in, the less sense it made. Finally, after posting the images in a local wildlife group, the answer came: an experimental, hyper-realistic movie prop, lost from a recent film shoot up the coast. All that fear, all that mystery—over a forgotten piece of someone else’s story, lying there in the tide like a secret never meant for me.
