The investigation into the tragic shooting of Charlie Kirk took a significant turn after the FBI reviewed text messages between 22-year-old Tyler Robinson and his roommate, Lance Twiggs.

These communications helped authorities locate and detain Robinson in St. George, Utah.

According to officials,

Twiggs is cooperating fully with investigators and is not facing any charges.

Evidence collected from their shared apartment,

including computers, has been sent for forensic review.

Court documents reveal that the messages contained details about retrieving a rifle,

changing clothes to avoid detection, and other actions taken before the incident.

Despite this, Robinson’s grandmother strongly denies his involvement,

describing him as a quiet young man with no history of violence or interest in firearms.

Authorities later confirmed the recovery of a distinctive rifle and other physical evidence,

such as footwear and palm prints.

Governor Spencer Cox stated that unusual engravings were found on ammunition,

referencing internet culture, memes, and video games.

Experts are still analyzing their meaning and whether they relate to a possible motive. Robinson’s father reportedly recognized him in surveillance images released by the FBI.

After confronting his son, Robinson admitted involvement but initially resisted surrendering.

His father, along with a trusted family pastor,

contacted authorities, leading to Robinson’s safe arrest by U.S. Marshals.

Robinson is currently being held without bail on initial charges,

including aggravated murder and obstruction of justice.

Prosecutors have not yet decided whether to seek the death penalty.
