The death occurred early Monday in Jardim das Américas 2nd Stage, a neighborhood in Anápolis, approximately 55 kilometers from Goiânia.
According to the father’s statement to authorities, exhaustion overtook him as he cradled his child, and the baby fell. Personnel from the Mobile Emergency Care Service, known as SAMU, attended the scene and confirmed the infant’s death. The Forensic Medical Institute subsequently notified the Military Police.
