95 from age-related illness.
He passed away at
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills.
Sherman and his brother,
Robert, won nine Oscars and
two Grammys for their work on films like Mary Poppins,
Chitty Bang Bang, and Winnie the Pooh.
In 2008, they received
the National Medal of Arts.
Richard is survived by
his wife Elizabeth and their children.
A private funeral will be held,
with a public service announced later.
