After Ryan O’Neal passed away in December 2023 at 82,
Hollywood mourned a legendary actor.
However, his son, Redmond O’Neal,
was absent from the funeral,
as he was incarcerated in a California state hospital. Redmond, 38,
has faced a troubled life marked by addiction,
mental health issues, and multiple incarcerations.
Despite his father’s promises to care for him,
their relationship deteriorated,
and Redmond refused
to see his father during his treatment.
Additionally, two of O’Neal’s other children were missing from the service,
including Griffin O’Neal,
who revealed that he wasn’t even invited to the memorial.
Griffin, who had traveled 2,000 miles from Texas,
learned the service was delayed until after Christmas.
He expressed his frustration, stating,
“I’m the hated son who told the truth.”
